Exam Name CMAT

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is a national level online based entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) twice a year. CAT is held for five days in two slots .The admission test aims to facilitate institutions to select suitable students for management courses. AICTE-CMAT is conducted in various big cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, etc.

Impotent Dates: 
  • This year the tests will be conducted from Thursday, February 20, 2014 to Monday, February 24, 2014.
  • Last date for online registration: Thursday, January 16, 2014.
  • Print out of hall ticket: Wednesday, February 05, 2014.
  • Date of computer based test in India: Thursday, February 20, 2014 to Monday, February 24, 2014.Declaration of result: Friday, March 14, 2014.
  • Print out of score cards: from Friday, March 14, 2014 to Sunday, April 13, 2014.

Results and scores:- AICTE-CMAT is held twice a year and the scores are accepted by over 1500 AICTE approved B-schools.

Test-Centers:- CMAT February 2014 be held across 62 cities of India. Though in the CMAT 2014-15 first test held in September 2013 it was announced that the exam will be held in international locations, this time there is no such mention. 

Following are the criteria required for the candidate to take up AICTE-CMAT-
  • Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT. 
  • For Graduate, it is required to achieve an aggregate of 50% in any discipline from a recognized college. 45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category (SC/ST/PWD) 
  • Final Year students who are awaiting results can are also eligible to apply.

There are four sections in the test and time duration is 180 minutes. 
The sections are as follow 
(a) Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation 
(b) Logical Reasoning 
(c) Language Comprehension
(d) General Awareness. 

Every section is of 100 marks and carries 25 questions. It carries 4 marks for every correct answer and negative 1 mark for wrong answer
